The board of the INL Retired Employees Association (IREA) extends an invitation to you to join us. Our current IREA membership of about 400 includes a wide range of work backgrounds and ages ranging from 55 to more mature. You are eligible to join IREA if you are 55 or older and are currently working for or have worked for any contractor involved with INL’s long and rich history. Additionally, current or retired DOE employees who are 55 or older are also welcome to join.

Membership benefits include two social functions, two general meetings, and at least one technical program and three newsletters each year as well as access to the IREA webpage.

• Our low-cost social functions include a picnic held in the late summer and a dinner held in the early spring with the foci on good food and reconnecting with friends.
• General meetings provide members with a wide range of speakers covering topics of general, local, regional, or national interest as well as time to socialize and enjoy a light meal of pizza or sandwiches. Past speakers have included the INL laboratory director, mayor of Idaho Falls, INL benefits and public affairs, and community action and assistance groups.
• Technical programs cover new projects at the laboratory, energy related issues, or any topic you would like to suggest to the program chair.
• The IREA newsletter sent via US PS is packed with information:

• Our IREA webpage allows you to connect with association happenings via computer from anywhere. You can read an event summary and view photos of those who attended, provide membership with a new mailing address, obtain contact information for IREA board members, read the newsletter online, and much more.

To join, complete the attached IREA membership form and send to the provided address. Current IREA members and the board are looking forward to meeting you at our next function. Being part of IREA provides you with a way to stay in touch with INL retirees and opportunities to find out what is happening at the laboratory and in the community at large.
